Dan joined CLG in 2021, as a seasoned litigator with over 15 years of legal experience. Through his practice, Dan has helped his clients navigate contract, shareholder, property, and employment disputes, representing both plaintiffs and defendants.

As a commercial litigator often working with small businesses, Dan developed a keen interest in serving multi-generational businesses. Dan draws from both personal and professional experience, guiding family businesses through their unique challenges, from formation and succession planning to contract and shareholder disputes that go beyond profits and losses. Dan recognizes that these enterprises are a culmination hard work and dedication, and he is committed to preserving and enhancing that legacy through sound legal counsel.

Dan’s legal career began with his cum laude graduation from Tufts University, where he earned a bachelor's degree in political science and philosophy and served as president of the pre-legal society. He continued to excel academically at the University of Wisconsin-Madison Law School, earning inclusion on the dean's list, winning the Heffernan Appellate Advocacy Competition, and receiving his Juris Doctor in 2006. During law school, Dan externed for the Oregon Supreme Court, Wisconsin Department of Justice, and clerked for Legal Aid Services of Oregon. In 2007, he returned home to Oregon to practice exclusively as a corporate litigator.

Out of the courtroom, Dan is an active member of our community with memberships in the Oregon State Bar and the Multnomah Bar Association(s). After law school, Dan spent six years coaching mock trial coach at his alma mater, Lincoln High School, mentoring and empowering the next generation of legal professionals.
